"De-Familization" and Family Business Innovation

Can de-familization promote innovation in family firms? Existing research suggests that "de-familization" can innovation, but this may be due to the lack of dynamic attention process "de-familization". Based on this, paper investigates impact firms, using Chinese listed firms from 2008 2020 as a sample. It is found there an inverted U-shaped relationship between and firms' investment, while members CEOs favorable external institutional environment weaken effect. This analyzes degree level perspective, combining social-emotional wealth theory agency theory, thus enriches succession by professional managers context inheritance, provides new references for selection business owners' successors.
